Claude Browne is President of the Montserrat Farmers Association and serves as Treasurer of AACARI. Claude was formerly employed by the Department of Agriculture with his most recent posting as The Agricultural Advisor. Over the years he held several posts within the Department of Agriculture. Including Agriculture Officer and Agricultural Development Officer.
He ventured into private enterprise and farming before moving to Grenada as the Country Officer Cl for the Caribbean Agriculture Rural Development and Advisory Training Services (CARDATS) as The Country Officer for Grenada.
He also worked with CARDI in Grenada as the Technology Transfer Officer and in Montserrat as the Country Representative.
The volcanic eruptions in Montserrat led Claude to work in the NGO sector as a Programme Officer – Emergency and Development for the Montserrat Christian Council.
Besides being an agriculturist, Claude has some training and lots of experience in communication especially in radio. He was one of the presenters of the popular “Roots” programme on Radio Antilles. Presently he produces and presents the Montserrat Farmers’ Association programme entitled “Everything Agriculture” on ZJB Radio Montserrat
